MANUEL MANZANEQUE ESCENA 2004

D.O. FINCA ELEZ

WINE TAST ING NOTES:

The 2004 vintage was a memorable one for Finca Élez, thanks to the delay budding that made a late maturation with higher difference of temperatures between day and night. Deep cherry colour, with a great layer and a bluish border, clean and brilliant. Aroma very intensive, deep and mineral-laden, reminiscent of the powerful personality of the terroir from which it comes. Emphasize his fruit (cherry, strawberry, blackberry and redcurrant) and violet, very well fused with the character that new, toasted oak imparts.

Balsamic notes. Cacao, coffee and tobacco. Very pleasant. On the nose is clean andhonest. On the palate it is fleshy, concentrate and round, with pleasant sweet tannins and a very long and persistent finish.

This wine is, without a doubt, the winery start with a very deep personality characterized by poor and cold soils at 1.080 metros of height. For these reasons, this wine has a great potential for aging and we recommend to decant, at least one hour before its tasting.
